Jingyi  Gao was born in Harbin, Heilongjiang province of China. She obtained her  bachelor degree in 2015 from School of Materials Science and Engineering,  Tongji University. With the national scholarship, she spent six months on  study of traction forces exerted by cells for her final year project under  the supervision of associate Prof. Gustavo R. Plaza in Universidad  Politécnica de Madrid, Spain. In Sep 2015 she began her master program under  the supervision of Prof. Jianzhong Du. Her research interests focus on  synthesis and characterization of antibacterial polymersomes, which are  expected to have effect on planktonic bacteria and biofilms.

Yufen  Xiao was born in Zhejiang, China and graduated from Tongji University to get a  Bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering in 2015. During her final  year at university, she undertook a thesis project on the synthesis and self-assembly  of glycopolymer under the supervision of Prof. Jianzhong Du. She then  continued her study in Tongji University and joined Du’s rsearch group as a  master student to work on glycopolymersomes and their applications on  biomedical area, especially on antidiabetic.

Yijie  Zou was born in Shanghai, China. She received her Bachelor's degree in 2015 from  School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tongji University. At the undergraduate  level, she joined in the Tongji University Undergraduate Innovation Program  as a group member to do research on the synthesis and characterization of  Ag-decorated antibacterial vesicles. She is currently a master student major  in polymer chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Jianzhong Du and focusing  on the biomedical applications of antibacterial hydrogels. Her current work  involves the design and preparation of hydrogels based on antibacterial  peptides for potential use as wound dressings or other biomedical  applications.

Yuanxiu  Hong graduated from Tongji University in 2016 with a BSc degree in Material Science  and Engineering. During her final year at university, she undertook a thesis  project on the synthesis and self-assembly of light-responsive polymer under  the supervision of Prof. Jianzhong Du in Department of Polymeric Material of  Tongji University. Following her graduation, she continues her study as a  member of Du’s group from September 2016, and she is working on the design  and synthesis of peptide-based copolymer and researching on its self-assembly,  antibacterial properties and drug delivery system.

Hu  Yu was born in 1994 in HuangGang, HuBei province. In 2012 he started studying  Materials Science and Engineering at Tongji University. After finishing all of  his courses and getting his bachelor’s degree, he choosed to pursue further  education in Polymer Materials again at Tongji University under the supervision  of Prof. Jianzhong Du in 2016. He is currently undertaking a project based on  synthesis and assembly of glucose-responsive polymer, which can be used in the  treatment of diabetes.

Yuejing  Xi was born in Shanghai, graduated from Tongji University of Material Science  and Engineering in 2016, during which she carried out an innovation project  supervised by Prof. Jianzhong Du, preparing an antibacterial peptide-based  copolymer micelle and investigating its membrane-penetration antibacterial  mechanism. In the last semester in 2016, she finished her bachelor graduation  project about deformability of T lymphocytes as an exchange student in  UPM(Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) in Madrid. Now, she continues her  study for master degree in the group of Prof. Jianzhong Du and her current  work is focused on the preparation and characterization of antibacterial  vesicles.

廖雨瑶

Yuyao  Liao was born in Bishan District, Chongqing Municipality. From 2013 to 2017, she  graduated from Wuhan University with a bachelor's degree in engineering. In  September 2017, she joined Jianzhong Du’s group at Tongji University, to study  for a master's degree in engineering.

Lingshan  Chen was born in Jiangsu province of China but grew up in Shanghai, China.  She obtained a bachelor's degree in engineering and a bachelor's degree in economics  from the Wuhan University (WHU) in June 2017. Her research interest in WHU  mainly focused on the preparation and properties of conducting polyaniline.  In September 2017 she began her Masters program under the supervision of  Prof. Jianzhong Du at Tongji University. Her current research involves the  antibacterial materials.

林莎

Sha  Lin, female, Taizhou, Zhejiang. He studied at Donghua University in Shanghai  from 20 to 18, and graduated in June 2018 with a bachelor's degree in  engineering and a bachelor's degree in art. During the undergraduate course,  the growth behavior of polyphenylene sulfide induced by carbon fiber was  studied. The mechanical properties of carbon fiber reinforced polyphenylene  sulfide thermoplastic composites were improved by controlling the crystal  structure of polyphenylene sulfide matrix. In September of the same year, he  entered the research group of Professor Du Jianzhong from the School of  Materials Science and Engineering of Tongji University to pursue a master's  degree.

杨雨赢

Yuxi  Yang, female, was born in Dandong City, Liaoning Province. She studied at the  School of Materials Science and Engineering of Tongji University since 2014.  The undergraduate design is the preparation of magnetic nano-iron oxide  particles. In September 18, he obtained the qualification of insurance  research and studied for a master's degree in the research group of Professor  Du Jianzhong.

张新月

Xinyue  Zhang, female, was born in June 1996 in Erdos City, Inner Mongolia. Since  September 2014, he has studied at the School of Materials Science and  Engineering of Tongji University. From March to June 2018, he completed the  graduation project “Synthesis and Self-assembly of Sugar-Responsive Polymers”  in Professor Du Jianzhong's research group and obtained engineering in June.  Bachelor's degree. In September 2018, Bao Jian went to Professor Du Jianzhong  of Tongji University to continue his master's degree.
